Kagachi (Japanese: カガチ) is the main protagonist of Oninaki. He is a young Watcher, traveling between between the Living World and the Beyond to fight monsters and rescue Lost souls. In battle he can manifest the souls he has recued, called Daemons, to use their weapons and powers.

Kagachi is seen wearing white and black clothes, with a blue scarf that covers up his mouth and trails behind him.
Personality[]
Kagachi is cool and detached, and rarely gets emotional. He is often seen as being harsh or blind to others emotions. His personality changes as the story evolves, and he becomes increasingly kind and patient to the Lost and those around him.
Story[]
Prior to the events of the game, a young Kagachi is mourning his parents at a funeral. Mayura tries to comfort him by saying her dad is a Watcher who can talk to his dead parents. He walks out in the rain and sees a young girl standing in the midst of it. The girl appears to recognise him, but mentions that he isn't whole. Kagachi tries to ask what she means, but the two are interrupted by Mayura who asks him about what girl he's seen. He turns around and realizes that the girl has gone. During the funeral, he is told by Kushi that he shouldn't grieve as doing so would mean that his parents could become Lost, which goes against their society's natural order.
As the game starts, Kagachi works as a Watcher, guiding Lost souls with cool detachment. He is often criticised by Mayura of being too cold. As the story progresses, Mayura is killed by a serial killer they were sent to chase down as she was meant to be keeping watch on the last known location, revealed to Mayura by a Lost soul. When they realize this, Kushi is distraught, and tells Kagachi to stay back. Kagachi then sees Mayura's body, and is shown standing motionlessly next to it as the game shows the day passing.
